OLMO CMS: The Mission Statement



Our goal is to create the best Content Management System ever made. It will be very easy to use, but it will also be very powerful. And it will be absolutely free as we're releasing it as Open Source software under the GNU General Public License (GPL). For the moment OLMO is still a developer preview - a usable release for end users shall become available in mid 2010.

Primary targets


  • OLMO will be very easy to use, much easier than any Open Source CMS so far
  • It will be available for FREE under the GNU General Public License
  • It will run on Linux and MacOS X servers and system requirements will be very low
  • It will be possible to manage multiple sites using just one OLMO installation
  • Website pages will be dynamically created and they will be template based
  • Websites will be displayed in the CMS as a directory tree
  • Website contents will be accessible via FTP
  • OLMO will include a client utility that will allow to easily make changes to your site

Latest News

OLMO 0.9.12 was released on December 10, 2009. It allows to run the workbench GUI on top of the CorneliOS system core and it includes the prototype source code of the OLMO client utility. You can't anything with it yet, it's just a GUI and system logic demo. You may install OLMO as a CorneliOS CIOS application. First you need to install CorneliOS - release 0.9.12r10 or better is required to run this latest OLMO release. CorneliOS is Open Source software, you can get it on www.cornelios.org. You may also build the client utility as a Java app.
